ATV SCAMS FOUND ON THE INTERNET

We decided to put up this section to document all of the atv scams that are currently happening in the used atv marketplace. The focus is on the scams that are targeting the residents of BC and the lower mainland, however these scam artists appear to be everywhere.

Following is a list of some of the scams we have uncovered so far, some with supporting evidence.

In many of these situations, classified ads are placed (using stolen info; usually off ebay) offering an atv for sale at a very low price. They then want you to send the money (a lot of the time with Western Union) and then they take the money and you never see an atv. They are usually pretending to sell from out of province.

July 18, 2005 UPDATE: After a brief break, it seems the scammers have started posting their scam advertisments again .... please check back often for updated scams.....
